The sound of a cry

_____By Aranna Hasan Delwar

In Gaza's sorrowed streets, a cry is heard,

A baby girl, by loss and grief conferred.

No parent's arms to cradle her to sleep,

In shadows deep, her silent vigil keep.

Her cries pierce through the night's heavy veil,

Echoing the pain that mothers' love entail.

Yet, orphaned by a war that knows no end,

Alone she wails, no comfort to defend.

Amidst the rubble, where hope seems lost,

Her tiny voice, a poignant tempest tossed.

No tender hands to wipe away her tears,

No gentle whispers to allay her fears.

She bears the burden of a world unjust,

In innocence, betrayed by human trust.

Her cries reverberate through shattered skies,

A plaintive plea for love that never dies.

But in the midst of chaos, a glimmer gleams,

A beacon of hope amidst shattered dreams.

For in each tear shed, a prayer ascends,

That love will find her, and wounds will mend.

Though orphaned by the strife of cruel decree,

In Gaza's heart, her spirit shall be free.

For every cry that echoes through the night,

Carries the promise of a dawn's first light.
