War Child's Cry / By Aranna Hasan Delwar

Amidst the ruins, a playground's decay,

Laughter silenced, hope fades away.

War Child's cry echoes through the night,

A lullaby tainted by the world's cruel fight.

In the shadow of conflict, children weep,

A symphony of sorrow, secrets they keep.

Whispers of war pierce the tranquil air,

Innocence shattered, burdened with despair

Tiny hands clutch remnants of peace,

Dreams shattered, yet yearning for release.

Fields once adorned with blossoms fair,

Now bear scars of anguish, heavy to bear.

Crimson sunsets paint tales of woe,

As the moon weeps for the seeds not sown.

Innocent hearts bear the weight of strife,

A canvas of resilience in the tapestry of life.

Yet, amid the chaos, a glimmer of light,

Hope resilient, refusing the endless night.

War Child's cry, a plea for unity,

To mend the wounds and set hearts free.

In the eyes of the young, reflections of grace,

A plea for a future, a hopeful embrace.

Let empathy blossom, a balm for the soul,

For every War Child's cry seeks a world made whole.
