In The Dark Night

---By Aranna Hasan Delwar

 Darkness surrounds me

In that darkness, the red eyes like a cheetah shine brightly,

A raft of white and black clouds runs away like a deer.

The dry leaves fall with a murmur,

Hijal tamal, banyan trees stand frozen on the river bank.

Nakshatra Raji is pierced by suspicion and jealousy,

Concrete walls crumble underfoot.

Doors and windows open, tin rice flies in the Baisakhi storm.

The blue pains of my suffering, pain, open the door of my chest and come out with silent feet like a cat.

The eyes get a big light, put the window frame and cover it with a curtain.

It is not light through the electricity wire, but darkness through the wire.

On a park bench, behind a tree

Gemini men and women enjoy masterful abstract art.

From their sweaty, agitated bodies billowed black smoke, poisonous carbon.

Some of my nights sink deeper into darkness,

Sometimes I bathe in the blue water of Rupoli Jochana.

Love is not lifted in a deep kiss

Color of choice.

When Rishi woke up early in the morning, he saw two white feathers lying on the bed.
